Oddboro is a pixel office on your computer where AI workers, called Odds, take jobs off your
hands. Watch them work: where an Odd stands shows what it's doing. Each one gets only the
access its job needs.
Open source, Apache 2.0. Runs on a Mac, Windows or Linux, with your Claude plan or an API
key. All downloads

How it works
Watch your AI work.
Most AI works where you can't see it. Odds work on a floor in front of you, and each one walks to the spot that matches its task. One glance tells you what the whole office is doing.

Managers
Meet your Office Manager.
Your first Odd runs the floor, writes your daily report, and helps you hire everyone else. Pick one of these four, or describe your own and the office draws them.
Marshall
Savvy
Calm and organized. I keep the floor steady and tell you who to hire next.
Ziva

I read the room before you walk in. Short answers, nothing gets past me.
Jamal
Executive presence
I run the floor like a boardroom. You set the course, and I make the calls.
Cindy

I don't do half done. I close every loose end and flag anything that's off.
Describe your own.
Tell the office how they work and how they look. It writes their job description and draws
them.
Drawing a new manager needs Claude Opus.
Least access
You decide how far each Odd goes.
An Odd acts for you only as far as you let it. You grant access one Odd and one tool at a time, and you can lower it or take it back whenever you like.
1
One level per Odd.
Every Odd holds one level: read, draft or act. A new Odd starts at read with no outside tools. Only you raise it.
2
An Odd asks. You connect.
An Odd finds the tool it needs and asks you for it. You sign in yourself.
3
Read only, or read and write.
You connect each tool read only, or with write while the Odd holds act. With write, that one Odd uses that one tool without asking. Lower the level and the grant waits. Revoke it and it is gone.
4
Drafts still come to you.
An Odd at draft prepares the note, the plan or the list and puts it on your desk. You approve it, deny it, or send it back for another pass.

Why
It is the first thing to go when the week gets busy.
Done when
A book a month, for three months.
1
You set a goal.
One line, why it matters, and what done looks like. Set it yourself, or approve one your manager heard in chat.
2
Your manager plans it.
Who does what, on what schedule, with which tools, and what only you can do. Odds already here take a part before you hire a new one.
3
You approve the parts you want.
Odds start on them at once.

FAQ
Questions
What is an Odd?
An AI worker in your office. Each Odd runs on Claude Code, with one job description, a place on the floor, and the tools you connected for it.
What does it cost?
Oddboro itself is free under Apache 2.0. Claude costs what it already costs you, on your Claude plan or your API key.
Which Claude plan do I need?
Any plan that signs in to Claude Code. Or skip the plan and use an Anthropic API key.
Does it run on Windows or Linux?
Yes, both. Windows: an installer for Windows 10 and 11, on x64 and arm64. Linux: an AppImage for x86_64 and arm64, on a desktop with systemd, a keyring and notifications.
What leaves my computer?
Only what the work needs. Odds send their work to Claude under your own account, and an Odd talks to the tools you connected for it. The app checks GitHub for new versions of itself. Nothing goes to New Altitude.
Can an Odd act without asking me?
Yes, within the limits you set. At the act level an Odd does housekeeping inside the office on its own, and uses any tool you gave it write access to. Everything else waits on your desk.
Can I pick the model?
Yes, between Claude Opus and Claude Sonnet. Opus is the default. Claude is the only provider today.
What is the Office Manager?
Your first Odd. It runs the floor, puts your daily report on your desk at 7 each morning, and helps you hire the rest. Pick one of the four ready-made managers, or describe your own.
How do I start over, or remove it?
On a Mac, turn off Open at login in the menu bar, quit Oddboro, and move it to the Trash. On Windows, turn off Open at login in the tray, quit Oddboro, and uninstall it in Settings, Apps. On Linux, turn off Open at login in the tray (or delete ~/.config/autostart/Oddboro.desktop), quit Oddboro, and delete the AppImage. Every way, your office stays in the .oddboro folder in your home folder until you delete it. From source, npm run reset starts the office over: it moves the old one into ~/.oddboro/backups/ and deletes nothing. To remove a source install, run npm run service:uninstall -w apps/office, then delete the folder.
Who makes it?
New Altitude, Inc. The code is open, but the license grants no rights to the Oddboro name.
