Too much on your plate?

Hire Odds.

Oddboro is a pixel office on your Mac where AI workers, called Odds, take jobs off your hands. Watch them work: where an Odd stands shows what it's doing. Each one gets only the access its job needs.

Open source, Apache 2.0. Runs on your Mac, with your Claude plan or an API key.

Hire an Odd

Hire Odds for everything you want off your plate.

Each Odd is an AI worker with one job, using tools you connect for it from the public MCP Registry. Pick a job to see what that Odd does and the access it needs.

Training Odd

Fits your training into the week you actually have.

What it does

  1. Writes a plan for the week around the goal you set.
  2. Pokes you in chat before each session.
  3. Plans next week from your training log, if you keep one on your Mac.

How it works

Watch your AI work.

Most AI works where you can't see it. Odds work on a floor in front of you, and each one walks to the spot that matches its task. One glance tells you what the whole office is doing. Click any Odd to chat with it.

  1. 01

    At a desk.

    Working on a task.

  2. 02

    In the mail room.

Sorting new work as it comes in.

  3. 03

    In the library.

    Reading and researching.

  4. 04

    On its own.

Handling what you cleared it to do.

  5. 05

    Outside your door.

Waiting on a decision only you can make.

  6. 06

    At your desk.

    Talking it through with you.

Managers

Meet your Office Manager.

Your first Odd runs the floor, writes your daily report, and helps you hire everyone else. Pick one of these four, or describe your own and the office draws them.

  • Marshall's portrait

    Marshall

    Savvy

Calm and organized. I keep the floor steady and tell you who to hire next.

  • Ziva's portrait

    Ziva

    Sharp

I read the room before you walk in. Short answers, nothing gets past me.

  • Jamal's portrait

    Jamal

    Executive presence

I run the floor like a boardroom. You set the course, and I make the calls.

  • Cindy's portrait

    Cindy

    Intense

I don't do half done. I close every loose end and flag anything that's off.

  • Describe your own.

Tell the office how they work and how they look. It writes their job description and draws them.

Least access

You decide how far each Odd goes.

An Odd acts for you only as far as you let it. You grant access one Odd and one tool at a time, and you can lower it or take it back whenever you like.

  1. One level per Odd.

Every Odd holds one level: read, draft or act. A new Odd starts at read with no outside tools. Only you raise it, from the Odd's Access tab, and the ledger records each move.

  2. An Odd asks. You connect.

An Odd finds a tool in the office catalog or the public MCP Registry and asks you for it. Your yes puts numbered steps on your desk, and you sign in yourself.

  3. Read only, or read and write.

You connect each tool read only, or with write while the Odd holds act. A write grant lets that one Odd use that one tool without asking each time. Lower the level and the grant waits. Revoke it and it is gone.

  4. Drafts still come to you.

An Odd at draft prepares the note, the plan or the list and puts it on your desk. You approve it, deny it, or send it back for another pass.

Goals

Start with what you want more of.

Time to read, a launch out the door, an hour back in your evening. Your Office Manager turns each goal into a plan and puts it on your desk as one ask. Odds see only the goals they serve, and your daily report gives each goal its own section.

Goal

More time to read.

Why
It is the first thing to go when the week gets busy.
Done when
A book a month, for three months.
  1. You set a goal.

One line, why it matters, and what done looks like. Set it yourself, or approve one your manager heard in chat.

  2. Your manager plans it.

Who does what, on what schedule, with which tools, and what only you can do. Odds already here take a part before you hire a new one.

  3. You approve the parts you want.

Every part comes ticked. Untick any you do not want. Odds start on the rest at once and log their progress.

    • Ada Pick next month's book from your list, on the 25th.
    • Theo Poke you at 9 to read, four nights a week.
    • You Turn the pages. Only you can.

FAQ

Questions

What is an Odd?

An AI worker in your office. Each Odd runs on Claude Code, with one job description, a place on the floor, and the tools you connected for it.

What does it cost?

Oddboro itself is free under Apache 2.0. Claude costs what it already costs you, on your Claude plan or your API key.

Which Claude plan do I need?

Any plan that signs in to Claude Code. The office uses that login for every Odd, and each Odd's card shows how much of your plan's 5-hour and weekly windows it has used. If you would rather not use a plan, an Anthropic API key works instead.

Does it run on Windows or Linux?

No. Oddboro is Mac only for now. Linux is on the roadmap. Windows is not on the list today.

What leaves my Mac?

Only what the work needs. Odds send their work to Claude under your own account, and an Odd talks to the tools you connected for it. The app checks GitHub for new versions of itself. Nothing goes to New Altitude.

Can an Odd act without asking me?

Yes, within the limits you set. At the act level an Odd does housekeeping inside the office on its own, and uses any tool you gave it write access to. Everything else waits on your desk. Lower the level or revoke a tool from the Odd's Access tab.

Can I pick the model?

Yes, between Claude Opus and Claude Sonnet. Opus is the default. Claude is the only provider today.

What is the Office Manager?

Your first Odd. It runs the floor, puts your daily report on your desk at 7 each morning, and helps you hire the rest. Pick one of the four ready-made managers, or describe your own.

How do I start over, or remove it?

In the Mac app, turn off Open at login in the menu bar, quit Oddboro, and move it to the Trash. Your office stays in ~/.oddboro/ until you delete that folder. From source, npm run reset starts the office over: it moves the old one into ~/.oddboro/backups/ and deletes nothing. To remove a source install, run npm run service:uninstall -w apps/office, then delete the folder.

Who makes it?

New Altitude, Inc. The code is open, but the license grants no rights to the Oddboro name.

Hand off the jobs you don't have time for. Oddboro is open source, runs on your Mac, and lets each Odd do only what you allow.
